The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, UPESSC has announced the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test Result 2026 on August 26 at official website. Candidates who appeared for UPTET Paper 1 or Paper 2 examinations can now check and download their scorecard from the official website, upessc.up.gov.in. The UPTET 2026 exam was held on July 2, 3, and 4 across the various examination centres in Uttar Pradesh. The answer key was released on July 8, and candidates were allowed to raise objections until July 14.

UPTET Result 2026: How Many Candidates Qualified?
According to the latest result, Overall 5,71,435 candidates qualified in Paper 1 out of 7,13,648 candidates who appeared, recording a pass percentage of 80.07%. Overall 7,59,513 candidates qualified out of 10,57,021 candidates who appeared in Paper 2 examination. The pass percentage is 71.85%. Overall, more than 13 lakh candidates qualified across both levels.
UPTET 2026 Result Overview
UPTET Paper 1 is for candidates to teach classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for to teach classes 6 to 8. The TET qualifying certificate is a mandatory for teacher recruitment in UP government schools. According to the UPTET notification, the TET certificate is now valid for a lifetime.
